Alfriston Clergy House

Alfriston Clergy HouseA beautiful medieval thatched cottage with picturesque garden. This is an important property for the National Trust as it was the first building purchased by the Trust in 1896 for the princely sum of £10. The house itself is a fine medieval hall with a chalk and sour milk floor. The cottage garden is home to a rare array of traditional flowers and scents.
