Arundel Castle

Arundel CastleThere are nearly 1,000 years of history at this great castle, situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun in West Sussex and built at the end of the 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel. The castle also boasts impressive gardens of Victorian design. These tranquil gardens date back to 1850 and have been cleverly renovated by the Duchess of Norfolk and Head Gardener Gerry Kelsey. Tones, scents and shapes blend to create a superb picture with unusual colour combinations. Victorian greenhouse, walled garden, exotic plants and tender perennials.
