Farley Farm House
"This apparently undistinguished farmhouse is a dazzling repository of artistic treasures, created by not only Miller and Penrose, but also their friends Man Ray, Picasso, Paul Eluard and many others."
The home of Roland Penrose and Lee Miller and a gateway to the artistic and rural delights of Sussex, this important property is also the home of the Lee Miller Archive. A top model for Vogue and Vanity Fair, Lee started taking photographs herself in the late 20s and there are many examples from her 25-year photographic career which spanned pack shots, fashion, portraiture and her years as a front line war correspondent.
