Parham House and Gardens
The house includes a panelled Great Hall with Steward's windows, a large original fireplace, a narwhal's tusk and important portraits of the Elizabethan era.
The Great Parlour houses portraits and furnishings dating from the reign of Charles I, and the Saloon dates from a different period entirely and was originally a wood store, was remodelled in about 1790.
Around the house stretch 300 acres of ancient deer park and some 875 acres of working agricultural and forestry land, including designated areas of Special Scientific Interest.
The two gardens at Parham are the 18th century Pleasure Grounds, and the magnificent four-acre walled garden with a 1920s Wendy House, orchard, abundantly-stocked greenhouse, herb and vegetable gardens.
