Bluebell Railway
The beautiful Bluebell Railway was the first standard gauge passenger line to be preserved in the UK. Run mainly by volunteers, it is now the only all-steam standard gauge railway in the country. The railway offers visitors the opportunity to view over thirty locomotives, plus a chance to step back in time with the masterfully preserved Victorian, 1930s and 1950s period train stations. The railway also offers free car and coach parking (not at Kingscote), with picnic areas.
Trains operate weekends throughout the year; daily April - October plus school holidays. Pullman dining service Saturday evenings, Sunday lunches or private charter/weddings.
Fares start at £9.80 for standard return tickets, but check the website or call for up-to-date information for visitors.
