Lamb House
The house dates from the early 18th century and is typical of the attractive town of Rye. This was the home of writer Henry James from 1898 to 1916, and later of authors E. F. Benson and Rumer Godden. Some of James' personal possessions can be seen and there is a charming walled garden. A rich variety of plants are found including a sweet gum on the central lawn, a trumpet creeper and many variety of roses.

2pm - 6pm, Thursdays and Saturdays, 22nd March-27th October 07.
