See Europe's largest beach-launched fishing fleet in Hastings. The Old Town is home of the fictitious DCS Foyle of Foyle's War fame. It is also home to Britain's first Norman Castle, the East & West Hill Lifts and Smugglers Adventure - relive the daring exploits of the Sussex smugglers. Maritime attractions include the Shipwreck Heritage Centre, Fishermens Museum, and Underwater World, and enjoy a walk on the water by exploring Hastings Pier. Two museums to visit are the Old Town Museum of Local History and Flower Makers Museum, both in the High Street. Along the seafront you will find Flamingo Fun Park and Hastings Adventure Golf Complex and for children it's fun and play everyday at Clambers Play Centre. Just outside Hastings is Carr Taylor Vineyards who produce award-winning still, sparkling and fruit wines.
